POETIC SOCIETY

(TWIXX and LOU)

HISTORY:

Twixx and Lou are school mates from Pasig Christian Academy. Since grade school, they both listen and enjoy hiphop. they are the school rappers, dreaming to be known and to be respected.

Twixx started out as a beatboxer for the group Illskills(Formed by Xplizit of the Stick Figgas) which is composed of two underground rappers (Jp and Stiff). Then after a year, lou's friend who has a recording studio asked him if he wants to rap and to record a song. Lou hooked-up Twixx to form a group and record. after several years of beatboxing for Illskills, Twixx decided to leave the group and stay with Lou as his partner in the hiphop scene. They recorded their first song(Simulan Ko Kaya?) which is produced by Dj Ochomil of 357 productions. After their first song, Twixx asked Lou if he wants another member for the group. Then Eyesee Jumped in. after several days, the group decided to record a remix of "Simulan Ko Kaya?" with Eyesee's verse on it.

After some recordings, they got recognized by the Melliflous Hiphop Crew(Pong, Krayzie-v and Miko-G). after being recognized, Pong decided to put the group in their upcoming Mixtape which is "The New Movement Mixtape" so the group recorded "Ang Bagong Pag-galaw" tagalog for "The New Movement". after the release of the mixtape, Pong and Krayzie-V decided to make Poetic Society as talents for their production team which is Funkworx Pilipinas. Poetic Society did several collaborations with M.H.C. Through the help of MHC, Poetic Society got into gigs and be recognized by people. after The New Movement Mixtape, the group decided to release an EP Album under Funkworx Pilipinas. The EP includes 3 Tracks originally created by Twixx,Lou and Eyesee. and produced by Pong Posadas and Krayzie-V for Funkworx Pilipinas. The EP was released after several months of hardworks. It was released at Carbon Bar during the Butta-Flava event. after the release, Eyesee left the group so as Poetic Society left Funkworx Pilipinas. Now, The group is composed of the two original members which is Twixx and Lou. and now under their own independent label "The Beat Lab". Poetic Society is now cooking their own Mixtape.

ISHIZEEZY's RIDE WITH ME

WHO IS LON

lon

Longevity Of Nonsense

"I wanted to share struggles I've been through"

Yo, first off i would like to say what's up and thank you to ace and
the whole team whos been responsible for this. keep it up man we all in
this together. -- Me is longevity of nonsense as Lon a big fan of music
now bringin hiphop to a whole new level. staright realness no
bullshit. diretcho lang walang paligoy ligoy. i guess music will speak for
that. peep some of my joints at www.myspace.com/longevityofnonsense

When did you start rappin.. and why?

Everything started back in highschool when momz gave me a mini sony
cassette tape, and i was bumpin nas's shit then it moved me to make and
write something about life and reality, it was all shallow on how things
started, i did "life is so beautiful" over a nas's beat and just makin
fun of it. then friends and people whove heard it be like YO MAN THIS
SHIT IS GOOD BUD!, like i was like oh yea?? haha. and then the birth of
ME writing stuff began. then my man irv introduced me to aidzz who
heads virus industry productions which is an indie label as well. we
officially recorded my track "life is so beautiful" and posted it on the net.
then i met arthug of mischievouz ent. (w/c is now CLASSIC ent.) to do
a track for the flipballaz mixtape vol. 3 called "same game different
faces"

Who are your musical influences?

common is really on top of my list, but lately league of paul
introduced me to some foreign exchange and little brother shit and im lovin it.
but common influenced me alot through this bullsh** carreer/hobby.

What are your songs about?

basically, my writings are about real stuff. reality of LIFE in all
aspects of it. both postivite and negative. but most of them are my
experiences too coz i wanted to share struggles ive been through to people
who would listen to it and thought it could be of some help.

Do you have any personal contacts in the music business?

this is where i'll continue... well i met my man konfuzed through
arthug at his home studio in mandaluyong. konfuzed wanted to make shit pop
like how i wanted it to be done as well. so we have same perspective and
quality of taste for music. so nagtayo kami ng sarili namin production
which is called brown biscuit productions along with valerie as an rnb
singer and konfuzed as the official producer and song arranger for the
production, but it was hella hard to fight with time, the progress got
slower and slower and naging busy na lahat with both work and school.
but the good new is the 3 of us is up again and ready for music as we
are a part now of TEAMFIRM with league of paul, straight arrow,
cyrcadian rhythm and more. so alot of prjects are lined up as well so you guys
better watch out coz shits will be crazy..thats for the question about
contacts

Are you looking for an independent label deal or a major label deal?

major label deal? as of now im not eyeing for that. im looking more at
being more creative when it comes to making music. everyday is a
learning and i want that. but soon who knows. for every artist that's like a
dream but i look at it as more of SKILLS will bring you to places.
like that tempting place.
